Marine Aquarium and Research Centre

Location

The Marine Aquarium and Research Centre was founded in 1989 as a part of the Seventh Five Year Plan. The main attraction of the centre is the diverse marine life which helps people to carry out various researches on the marine biodiversity of the place.

The aquarium of the centre is considered the largest in the whole country and is well equipped with modified filtration unit and sea water circulation system. The aquarium has eight fresh water tanks and twenty-four big marine tanks which come with regulated supply of inflow and outflow of water, compressed air supply and light.
