Igatpuri is a picturesque hill station of the Western Ghats, known for its Buddhist Pagoda for Medititation called Vipassana and wada pavs. The place is surrounded by some of the highest peaks of the Sahyadri ranges in the Western Ghats and most of the peaks have forts built on the top during the Satavahana dynasty.

By Rail: Igatpuri railway station is connected to Mumbai VT station by Tapovan express. Major railhead is at Kasara, which is connected to many cities through rail link.
