Location
Sita Jakhala is popular for the ancient temple situated on the banks of River Killing. The temple has many idols of Goddess Sita and Lord Hanuman. According to a popular belief, Valmiki constructed stone steps, leading up to River Killing, for Goddess Sita, so that she could easily reach the river from the temple. Thus, the steps were named Sita Jakhala.
