Location
Jogighopa and Pancharatna are both counted among the prominent historic sites of Assam. Pancharatna is located on the southern bank of River Brahmaputra and is around 160 km from Guwahati. About 212 km from Guwahati on the northern banks of River Brahmaputra is situated Jogighopa.
Some of the cubicles of the mediaeval period, which were used by monks, can be traced at this place. Moreover, Pancharatna contains some ruins of a Gupta Temple. Along with some rock-cut remains that were found with a monolithic Buddhist Stupa.
