Location
The Chakra Harji Vishnu Temple in the town of Faizabad has a special place in the Hindu religion due to the presence of footprints inside the temple which are believed to be of Lord Ram himself. The temple itself is situated at the Guptar ghat and houses various idols of different Hindu deities.
Special mention is a must of the artfully carved out idol of Chakra Harji Vishnu (Vishnu holding the Chakra / Disc). The temple being on the banks of the river offers a delightful sight of the river and surroundings and its serene atmosphere affords peace and solace even during the peak hour hustle.
