Zuari Bridge
There are two major rivers in Goa, the Zuari River and the Mandovi River. On the Southern Bank of the Mandovi River lies the new city of Goa called the Panaji formerly known as Panjim during the Portuguese regime.

After liberation of Goa in 1962 two major Bridges were built across the Zuari and Mandovi river, and now the Konkan Railway bridge runs along side the Zuari Bridge.

Situated 40 kms from Panaji. According to mythology, Shri. Kamakshi was brought from Kaurang (Kanchi).

he Kamakshi Temple is dedicated to Kamakshi or Goddess Kamakhya, originally a deity from Guwahati, Assam. She is also known as Parvati or consort of Lord Shiva and is known as Shantadurga or Goddess of Peace. The temple is quite impressive and is located in Shiroda which is situated 12 kms away from the Village of Kavlem in Ponda taluka.

Shree Kalikadevi

The Shree Kalika Devi temple also known as the Mahamaya Kalika Saunsthan is dedicated to Goddess Kalikadevi. It is situated at Kansarpal in the Bicholim taluka of North Goa and is about 14-18 kms from Mapusa.

The presiding deity of the Kalika Devi temple is Kali or Rudra worshipped in the form of Mahamaya which is known to be a fierce form of Goddess Durga. The temple is known to be an important monument among the places of worship in North Goa.

Shree Gopal Ganapathi

Shree Gopal Ganapathi, Farmagudi
Situated 26 kms. from Panaji at Farmagudi, Ponda, amidst beautiful natural surroundings, near Bandora.. The stone image of Gopal Ganapati was discovered by herdsmen while grazing cattle near the hill and later installed in a small shrine with a thatched roof. The temple with the idol made of metal alloy was consecrated on April 24, 1966.

Shri Devi Sharvani Temple dedicated to Goddess Sharvani is situated at Advolpal in the Bicholim taluka of North Goa. It is located at about 2.5 kms from Assonora on the Pirna main road and is situated amidst scenic surroundings.

Goddess Sharvani is known for fulfilling her devotees' vows through Kaul Prasad. The temple of Devi Sharvani was originally known to have been situated in Saligao. At the end of the 16th century it was shifted to Ajgaon and during the Portuguese rule it was shifted to Advolpal.

The temple architecture of Goa is the blend of the local building traditions into a rigid architectural style . It gives it a special flavour. One of the Goan Temples is the Lamp Tower or the deepma (deepa stamba) arising anywhere from two to six stories high. This is believed to be the influence of the Maratha. The dome that covers the main shrine and entrance in some of the temples are the blend of Muslim style. Some temples have the curvilinear roofs pointing to Christian influence. Shri Dutta Mandir is a century old temple which is located 37 km away from Dattawadi , Sanquelim and 40 Km away from Margao .

Reis Magos Fort

Reis Magos Fort, Reis Magos
The significant aspect of the little headland of Reis Magos jutting out at the north end of the sandbar was the defeat of a Muslim outpost by Albuquerque in 1510 during one of his battles wherein Bardez was added to the Portuguese territory and a fort built in 1551 which held a very important position.

It was later rebuilt in 1703 which was of obvious importance in 1739
