Kuchaman Fort

Location

A 1000 feet high hillock overlooks the Kuchaman city housing, the Kuchaman Fort (presently converted into a heritage hotel). The fort displays unique and highly creative collection of artwork ranging from imaginative structures to inlay work studded with precious stones, glass and even gold paint. The palace walls are decked with elegant miniature paintings and murals. The Sheesh Mahal (glass palace), Jal Mahal, Sabha Prakash, Meena Bazar etc. are few of the structures that adorn the fort and are still in excellent physical condition. The fort is 1100 years old and has a long history dating back to 950 AD. The fort has been conquered and surrendered numerous times till it was nourished and rejuvenated by the mighty Rathores. The Fort museum holds an array of weapons and armor. The other collections are mostly in gold or silver with various artistic designs.
