Baradari Gardens

Location

Baradari Gardens surround the Baradari Palace, located in the north of old Patiala City, just outside Sheranwala Gate. It was constructed by Maharaja Rajindera Singh and consists of rare plants and trees, dotted with impressive Colonial buildings and a statue of the founder. The prime attraction in the garden is the 19th century Fern House, along with quaint Rink Hall.

Shalimar Garden

Location

Shalimar Gardens is a breathtaking site of cenotaphs of the former rulers of Kapurthala. Some of these cenotaphs embellished with exquisite Filigree work are a visual treat. The gardens also locate "Baradari"-a historical building which was the meeting point of Maharaja Ranjit Singh and Maharaja Fateh Singh. The entrance gate is splendid and the gardens have a pond, a park & a library. Every year, the Basant Panchi Mela is organized here.

Kaiser Bagh

Location

A quadrangular park with a lovely pavilion flanked by yellow coloured builds on three sides Kaiser Bagh, holds some of the most important places of interest of the locality. Built in between 1845-1850 it displays a cluster of cupolas and domes. This park is also called as Ceaser’s park, a name reminds of the reign of Wajid Ali Shah, a former king of Oudh.

Rambagh Gardens

Location

An attractive garden, Ram Bagh is famed as the summer palace of the erstwhile Raja of Punjab, Ranjith Singh. This picturesque garden was formerly known as the Company garden and its name was changed as Rambagh by Ranjith Singh to commemorate his faith and devotion to the great sage, Guru Ram Das. This garden is a prototype of Shalimar Gardens at Lahore.
