2 kilometers from Benaulim, south Goa. The Varca beach in Goa is not as commercialized and crowded as other major beaches of Goa. Instead the quiet beach attracts visitors without fail since it is less crowded and cleaner than other big beaches. The Varca beach has soft sandy shores dotted with coconut trees and the turquoise blue sea right in front. Nature is virtually unspoilt over here and you can really indulge yourself in some soul searching and moments of peace.

Shree Chandranath Temple

Shree Chandranath Temple, Paroda

Located on the tip of 350 meters high hill of Chandranath, in Paroda, Shri Chandranath at Quepem is a holy shrine of Lord Chandreshwar.

Lord Chandreshwar is believed to be the titular deity of Bhoja kings. According to historical records and evidences, Bhoja kings rein the southern part of Goa until mid 8 th century.

At the Temple of Shri Chandranath at Quepem, the altar boasts of the image of Sri Bhutnath. The famous Shivalinga in the temple is carved out from rock.

Usgalimal Rock Carvings

The mysterious rock carvings of Usgalimal were discovered in 1993 by the Villagers of Usgalimal, which is situated at about 16 kms south of Rivona in the Sanguem taluka in south Goa.

The villagers informed the archaelogists about the traces of pre historic settlement who were led outside the village to a bend in the river Kushawati. Here they saw a shelf of laterite, which due to the monsoon floods was covered in a layer of mud that was swept downstream. Once they cleared this it was seen that the rock had carvings of around one hundred distinct figures, which included images of Bulls, spirals, lines and human figures.

The Rajbagh beach acquires its name from the famous hotel, which has always prided itself for keeping the beach clean and tidy. The hotel does deserve a pat on the back since the beach can be undoubtedly termed as one of the best and tidiest beaches in Goa.

Located at a distance of 12 km from Palolem beach the Rajbagh beach is an absolute stunner. Green palms and coconut trees create a natural roof over the area merging the land with the sea and the sea beach is the wafer thin stretch that separates the green canopy and the blue sea.
