Mukteshwar Temple

Location

Mukteshwar temple is one of the most sacred places around Pathankot. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva ad is situated on the bank of the River Ravi, about 20-22 km from Pathankot City. The temple is also known as the Mukesran Mandir and is believed to have served as the house of the Pandavas, during their exile. Situated at the hilltop, Mukteshwar temple has a white marble Shivling, with a copper Yoni. The Shivling is surrounded by the idols of Lord Brahma, Lord Vishnu, Goddess Paravati, Lord Hanuman and Lord Ganesha.

Geeta Bhawan

Location

A great temple is also at South of Moga City.
Geeta Bhawan is a beautiful temple located in the vicinity of the Kashmiri Park. The Geeta Bhawan Trust runs a school named Geeta Bhawan Public School. The mirror mosaic work and the residence of Swami Vaidantanand ji Maharaj are the prime attractions of the site.

Bilwanwali Masjid

Location

Mosque of Kamal-ud-din Khan/Sarai Doraha on the main highway, dates back to Emperor Jahangir's time. Rectangular in shape it has rooms and varandahs on all sides. Two great double storied gates are profusely decorated with coloured tiles and intricate brick carvings Bhir has the famous mosque built by Mohammad Ghori in 1911.

Gurudwara Shrimanji Sahib Alamgir

Location

Situated 10 Km from Ludhiana, the gurudwara commemorates the place where the Muslim devotees Nabi Khan and Ghani Khan had carried Guru Gobind Singh to safety during the battle. Guru Gobind Singh (1666-1708), the last of the Sikh Gurus, transformed the pacifist Sikh sect into a martial community. He introduced rites of initiation into well-organised Sikh army known as the 'Khalsa'. There is a tank where it is believed that the Guruji had shot an arrow into the parched earth to pierce a sub-terrain stream of water. A fair is held there in every December.

State Gurudwara

Location

It is situated in the center of the city on Sultanpur road. It was built by Maharaja Jagatjit Singh under the in charge of Revail Singh. The large and imposing red sandstone building (now painted white) of the State Gurudwara was consecrated in 1915. Built in the Indo- Saracenic style, it has vast expanses of marble haloed by the feet of the hundreds of devotees.

Sultanpur Lodhi

Location

Sultanpur Lodhi (A town 30 km south of Kapurthala): has considerable religious importance as a place. Guru Nanak Dev, the first Sikh guru spent the former years of his life here. The place has a host of Gurudwaras among which Gurdwara Ber Sahib is the most prominent. It derives its name from a Ber tree under which Guru Nanak had meditated. Other historical buildings here include Mazaar Shah, Hujra Hajira and Serai, the oldest building in Sultanpur.
