The textiles of Chirala are quite famous. The Chirala textile is made by using a large quantity of oil, which is used in preparing yarn for weaving. After the fabric is ready, it is wrapped with wax & clay before being dyed in selected colors. Here, a large amount of oil is used while preparing yarn for weaving. As soon as the fabric is made, it is smeared with wax & clay and finally, it is dyed in selected colors. Chirala is famous for its bedspreads, curtains, tapestry fabrics and sarees.
