Sagara

Sâgara is a town located in the district of Shimoga of the Indian state of Karnataka. Located within the Western Ghats range, it is known for its proximity to Jog Falls and to the historical places of Ikkeri and Keladi. Varadamoola, the origin of the river Varada, is also near Sagara.

Sagara is surrounded by water bodies and forest regions. The Varada river serves the people in this region with its springs. A dam is constructed on it that provides the basic water requirements of the town. Apart from this, there are a lot of historical places surrounding the town. Being surrounded by the western ghats, Sagara attracts nature lovers.
