Tulsi Samarak Bhavan

Location

A monument that gives a standing testimony to a great literary figure of yesteryears, Tulsi Smarak Bhavan houses the literary works Tulsidas. Mainly used for conducting religious discourses and prayer meetings, this building also acts as a cultural center where one can enjoy performing arts sessions by veteran artists.

Built in memory of the poet Goswami Tulsidas, this monument is used for prayer meetings, religious sermons and discussions, and the singing of devotional songs (Bhajans and kirtans). It also houses the Ayodhya Shodh Sansthan, where a large collection of literary works of Swami Tulsidas can be seen. A cultural center of Performing Arts also functions here. Ramkatha museum, set up at Ayodhya since 1988, is engaged in collection, preservation and conservation of antiquities related to the life of Rama.

What makes this unique institution so special is its Ramkatha Museum, which was established in the year 1988. It tries to highlight the historical perspective of Ayodhya by displaying the antiquities of Ramayana era. Artifacts on display would surely allure any visitor particularly the history buffs since almost all the things put on show are greatly related to the rich legacy of Ayodhya. Except on Monday this would be open to the public and the timings are set between 10.30 A.M to 4.30 P.M
