Tulsi Manas Temple

This temple is dedicated to Lord Rama. The temple is built in the place where Goswami Tulsidas composed the epic 'Ramacharitramanas' which provides us with detailed description of the history and deeds of Lord Rama. Tulsi Manas Temple was constructed by a philanthropist family in 1964.

Tulsi Manas Temple, a fairly modern temple built in marble rocks, is located near to famous Durga temple in Varanasi. The temple, constructed in 1964, is dedicated to Lord Ram and the temple is given the name of Tulsi Das, the great saint poet of 16th century.

The temple construction was a specimen of Shikhara style and was founded by a philanthropist family in Varanasi. The temple walls are adorned with many inscriptions displaying the stories from Ram Charit Manas, the great work by Tulsi Das.

The upstairs of the temple is adorned with performing structures of warriors in Ramayana. The majestic scenes of mythological works can be viewed through these majestic wall carvings.
