Tribal cultural Museum

As Silvassa is home to many tribes, the Tribal Museum at Silvassa is a tribute and an effort to safeguard and depict the rich legacy of tribal culture and society in its untouched form.

The ethnic tribal traditions and legacy of Silvassa is conserved in this museum. The entrance to the museum is elegantly made of handmade garlands or torans. On display are a good set of masks, musical equipment, fishing implements and life-size sculptures.

The museum also showcases puppets, dolls depicting the tribal way of life, tribal knick-knacks, etc. The clay models in the museum also add to the attraction. The walls of the museum are adorned with bows, daggers, spears, etc used by the tribes. Apart from ancient artifacts, there are many photographs of tribal festivals and rituals.
