Location
Subrahmanya Swami Temple in Mookambika is located at one side of the outer prakaram, the outer regions of the sanctum sanctorum. This temple is dedicated to Lord Muruka, son of Lord Shiva.
It is believed that Subrahmanya Swami himself come down to this place after hearing from Lord Shiva the majestic powers of Devi Shakthi at this temple. Lord Subrahmanya offered prayers to Devi Mahamaya and dedicated his presence for the benefits of the devotees visiting this temple.
The pilgrims visiting Mookambika temple make it a point to visit this temple as well and offer their prayers. Huge crowds are witnessed during Skanda Shashti days.
