It is the popular belief that who ever comes here to seek the blessings of the goddess on the eve of Navaratri festival would be highly rewarded.

Apart from its religious importance the temple unfurls the magical charm of the Amarkantak Plateau in its full magnificence. The temple situates in such a lovely spot that it fetches the enchanting view of the Sone river that originates from a nearby Kund. A slight ascend through the 100 odd steps will lead the visitor to the rim of a hillside. From here one would get the pictorial sceneries of the Satpura ranges and the undulating valleys. This picturesque spot is a recommended place to watch the rising sun.
