Silvassa Tribal Culture Museum

Silvassa has 80% of tribal inhabitants. This museum is dedicated to the preservation of the tribal culture and heritage. The entrance to the museum is made of beautiful hand made torans. The museum showcases tribal ornaments, fishing and hunting equipment, puppets and dolls, bows, daggers and spears used by them; giving a glimpse into their life. The walls are adorned with photos of the tribal festivals and ceremonies.

The Tribal Museum at Silvassa is an attempt to preserve and portray the rich heritage of tribal culture and civilization in its pristine form. Vandhara Udyan: A magnificent garden with bright bougainvillea and lawns shaped into hexagons by lantanas or divided by dark green hedges of casuarina.
