Shrikhand Peak

Location

Shrikhand Peak can be seen from across Sarahan. It is called the Shrikhand Mahadev Peak and is one of the adobe of Lord Shiva. At 5227 meters, this peak has a natural rock made Shivalingam called the Bhimadwan which is 72 feet in height and stands still at the mountain top. The Shivalingam is visible from Sarahan and is believed by devotees to be built by the mountain of a man, Bhima.

Shrikhand is also the parental abode of Goddess Lakshmi and therefore a pilgrimage route is made out for the same.

An unusual thing about the Shrikhand peak is that it is the only peak whose tip remains uncovered with snow.
