Ramnagar Museum, a scholarly museum renowned as the Banaras Vidya Mandir Museum, is located interior to Ramnagar Fort. This praise worthy museum is a home of many medieval period artifacts, collection of many items belonged to the Royal family of Banaras and also many handicraft items.
The museum also displays arms and armors used in the royal period, elephant saddles, decorated art pieces, ornate palanquins, textiles of various kinds, ancient manuscripts, gold-plated howdahs, furniture and many other artifacts. This museum attracts thousands of tourists every year and is open every day except for holidays.
