Mirabai Temple

Location

This temple in the name of one of the greatest devotee of Lord Krishna situates adjacent to Radha damodar temple. It was built in the year 1841 by the then Diwan of Bikaner, Shri. Narayana Singh Bhatti.

The temple houses the idols of Radha-Manoharji and Sri Radha. A murti of Mirabai is seen to the left of the chief idols on the altar. The side room in the temple is said to be the place where Mirabai used to meditate on her beloved god, Girdhar-Gopala. The altar also holds a stone, which holds a beautiful legend. It is believed that a poisonous snake kept in a box was sent to kill Mirabai and it turned to a stone while she opened it.
