Location
The Majar-Sharif belonging to the Sufi Saint Sayed Nasiruddin Kaderi, popularly called “Bagdadi” is located at Jaleswar-Katarihara, 60 km. away from Goalpara Town. The Saint is called Bagdadi as he arrived from Bagdad, capital of Iraq. Saint Sayed Nasiruddin Kaderi was also a leader of the Sufi movement. Each year tourists from various parts of Assam and West Bengal visit this Majar Sharif to take part in the Urs. The tomb of this Saint in the style of Taj Mahal is a very popular destination. The interior of the tomb is embellished with Arabic Calligraphy.
