Luturu Mahadev Temple

Location

An amazing peace of architecture, which is constructed high up in the lofty peaks, Luturu Mahadev Temple is a standing testimony to the never ending might of the rajputs. Surrounded by the unreceptive crags and the inhospitable terrain forces oneself to think about the strain that might have taken by the people in taking the material atop.

The steep climbs and craggy environment makes it very difficult to get in to the shrine, but the spiritual enthusiasm keeps the devotees to overcome all the hindrances. It is believed that the temple was constructed as per a dream occurred to the then Raja of Bhagal by which lord Shiva asked him to build a temple. This temple is constructed in the year 1621 and it’s a marvelous specimen of Shikhara style architecture. Since the temple is situated in higher altitude, it can be easily spotted from anywhere in the town.
