Lohaghat

Location

On the way up to Abbott Mount is the town of Lohaghat, along the banks of the river Lohawati, and about 14km from Champawat. Located at an altitude of over 5,500 ft, Lohaghat is known for its historical and mythological significance.

A town that grabs people with its great historical and mythological significance, Lohaghat in the suburbs of Tanakpur district, lies on the banks of Lohawati River. Perched at an elevation of 1706 meters this small town houses numerous lovely temples in its sprawling expanse of 4.5 square kilometers.
