Kere Anjaneya temple in the west corner of Sringeri Mutt is a popular temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman. It is the only one Anjaneya Swami temple established and consecrated by Sri Adi Shankaracharya. A lively full size image of Anjaneya (Lord Hanuman) is the prime idol in this temple. The idol has a lotus in the left hand and the right hand is in the posture of giving blessings to devotees. Small shrines dedicated to Lord Shiva and Lord Ganesha are also seen in the premises of this temple.
The temple is very attractive, beautiful and offers spiritual atmosphere for meditation. There are 27 steps to reach the sanctum sanctorum of the temple.
