Location
The Kanpur Memorial Church, also known as the All Souls Cathedral was built in memory of all those British soldiers who lost their lives in the war of 1857. The church architecture reflects the Lombardic Gothic style with bright red bricks used for the construction of the church buildings. An architect of East Bengal Railway, Walter Granville, designed the church and gave it the status of a beautiful monument in history.
The church is made up of stained glass and its beautiful architectural design makes it one of best attractions of the city. The church has a memorial garden in the premises, which marks peace in memory of the deceased.
