Kalamma Temple

Location

Kalamma temple or Kalamma Basadi is the lone Hindu temple found now in Sravanabelagola. This is an ancient temple dedicated to Goddess Kali, a form of Goddess Devi. This temple is located in the close vicinity of Akkanna Basadi. The offerings are done using the rice provided from the Jain Mutt.

The Kalamma Temple enshrines the Goddess Kali in a seated posture with four arms. The idol of Kali is attractive with aesthetic beauty. There are small shrines in the temple complex dedicated to other Hindu Gods and Goddesses. This temple is visited by Hindu devotees and Jain pilgrims.
