Hathi Pahar

Hathi Pahar, also known as Mahadevatari, is a popular hillock towards the east of the destination. The hillock is named as Mahadevatari because it houses a beautiful shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. The hill is named Hathi Pahar as it looks like an elephant, when seen from a distant place. Apart from this, the hill also has a small stream of water, which flows continuously towards the valley.

Tourists as well as devotees often visit this place for consuming the water of the stream. Further, the water is believed to have medicinal values that can cure diseases related to stomach.
