Cuttack Chandi Temple

A holy shrine believed to be the abode of the guardian deity of the city of Cuttack, Temple of Cuttack Chandi boast of a fabulous tale. The deity in the temple is portrayed with four hands such as Pasa, Ankusha, Abhaya and Bara. The goddess is depicted as the Bhuvaneswari incarnation of the mother goddess whose idol looks much older than that of the temple.
