Star Monument

Location

Star Monument is among the prominent monuments of Bhiwani located in the Radhaswami Satsang Bhawan complex. This hexagonal building is the Samadhi of Sh Tara Chand or Maharaj ji. The monument received the name from its star shape. It does not have any type of pillar to support and the alternative sides are made of white marble and rest three sides are of Italian glass. The base platform is 88 ft wide and 6 ft high. Tourists can also visit a beautiful garden, located near the monument. It is said that the hut in garden is the place where Maharaj ji used to meditate.

Asigarh Fort

Location

Asigarh Fort, an old fort in Hansi, is believed to have been constructed by Prithviraj Chauhan, the popular king of the Hindu Chauhan Dynasty. This square shaped fort is spread across an area of around 30 acres and has security posts in all the four corners. The records maintained in Talif-e-Tajkara-e-Hansi, written by Qazi Sharif Husain in 1915, state that around 80 forts across the area were controlled from here.

An underground tunnel was constructed during the period of Firoz Shah Tughlaq to connect the present Hansi to Hisar. The elaborative gates of the fort have figures of Gods and the walls of the fort are decorated with images of Goddesses, birds and animals.

Kala Amb Tree Site

Location

The Kala Amb Tree is a popular sightseeing spot of Panipat situated at a distance of 8 km from the city. This tree spot is the place where Sadashiv Rao Bhau located his Maratha troops during the 3rd battle of Panipat. It is a memoir dedicated to the Maratha soldiers, who sacrificed their life in this battle. Kala Amb is a black mango tree, whose dark colour foliage gave it its name.

Raja Nahar Singh Palace

Location

Raja Nahar Singh Palace is the famous Ballabhgarh Fort Palace, which is located in Ballabhgarh village. This palace was constructed by Rao Balram, who was the predecessor of the Jat Raja Nahar Singh. This Jat Raja was killed during the Indian war of independence. The Ballabhgarh Fort Palace, situated 15 km from Delhi, is known for its unique architecture.

Pataudi Palace

Location

Pataudi Palace is the residence of the Indian cricketing legend, Nawab Mansur Ali Khan. Located 26 km away from Gurgaon city in Pataudi, this palace was built in 1935 by Nawab Ibrahim Ali Khan, father of Mansur Ali Khan. Covering over an area of around 101171 sq. m, the palace complex encompasses open green areas, lawns and garden.

Farukh Nagar Fort

Location

Farukh Nagar Fort, which was built in the 18th century by Nawab Faujdar Khan, is one of the popular tourist attractions in Gurgaon. Entrance of the fort features Dilli Darwaza, which is popularly called the Delhi Gate. Out of five entrances, this gateway is one of three surviving entrances to the town. Patli Darwaza and Jhajjari Darwaza are the remaining two gateways.

Baroduari

Location

Baroduari is a historical rectangular structure made of bricks and stones. Its 44 spires, designed with gold chikkan work offered it another name, Bara Sona Masjid. The mosque is half a kilometre to the south of Ramkeli. Baroduari is the largest monument in Gaur. Though the name Baroduari suggests Twelve Doors, this structure actually features eleven doors. The construction of Baroduari was initiated by Allauddin Hussein Shah and was completed by his son Nasiruddin Nusrat Shah in the year 1526.
